'Chana' (chickpeas) and 'chana dal' (split chickpea lentils) are among the 600 new entries to the Oxford English Dictionary unveiled on Tuesday. Other entries include 'swimmer' (sperm) and 'son of a bachelor' (euphemistic alternative to 'son of a bitch'). A new sense of 'woke' (alert to racial or social discrimination) has also been added.
