Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu began a day-long fast in the national capital for demanding special status for his state. Dressed in blacks as a mark of protest, Naidu and his party members and ministerial colleagues paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

CM added that, “Andhra can survive only if it is given a special status.” We will protest against all injustices done to us. We will revive our demand for special status for Andhra in the Parliament”.
