Gurgaon in the National Capital Region or NCR is the world's most polluted city according to data released by IQAir AirVisual and Greenpeace, a non-profit organization. Out of the 10 cities with the highest pollution, seven are in India, while one is in China and two are in Pakistan. Among the Indian cities are Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Bhiwadi, Noida, Patna and Lucknow. The other three are Hotan in China and Lahore and Faislabad in Pakistan. Delhi has been ranked the most polluted capital in the world, while Gurugram is the most polluted city, according to a Greenpeace report. The report is based on air quality data collected in 2018 from public monitoring sources, with a special focus on data which has been published in real-time or near real-time.
