An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in South Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday morning. The encounter began during a cordon and search operation by a joint team of army's 44RR, 23Para and SOG in Shopian's Shirmal area where three-four militants were believed to have been trapped. No casualties have been reported as yet. All the exit and escape routes has been sealed off.
