Responding to the trolls who unleashed a flurry of abuse on three Muslim women for dancing on a Kerala street to Jimmikki Kammal, a popular Malayalam film song, more hijab-clad women danced on the streets of Kerala in protest. The Students Federation of India (SFI), which had conducted the flash mobs across the state, said that the flash mobs were to show the trolls that “personal freedoms cannot be curbed”.
The flash mobs were conducted in all the district centres of Kerala. In Thiruvananthapuram, a flash mob was organised at the University College. In Malappuram, a flash mob was conducted at the same place where the three Muslim students had performed on December 1.
