Nokia brand licensee HMD Global on Thursday announced the launch of Nokia 3.1 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 10,499, Nokia 3.1 will go on sale on July 21. Nokia 3.1 is touted as one of the most affordable phones to offer 18:9 display. The phone sports 5.2-inch HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Nokia 3.1 is based on Android One, Google’s initiative for low-end phones. Running on Android 8.0 Oreo, the phone is eligible for the next Android update, Android P.
“Nokia 3.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches and two years of OS updates from launch, as guaranteed in the Android One programme. This puts them among the most secure phones out there, always up to date with the latest Google services like the Google Assistant and Google Photos with free unlimited high-quality photo storage,” said the company.
