A cleric was arrested after he allegedly beat an 8-year-old child to death for trying to run away from a religious seminary in Bin Qasim Town of Pakistan, police said. The boy Muhammad Hussain had also received corporal punishment earlier after he managed to run away from the seminary, a senior police officer said yesterday. "His parents brought him back to the seminary and the cleric Qari Najmuddin took out his anger on the boy," the police officer said.
