According to chief electoral officer A K Dwivedi, 362 out of 45,000-odd EVMs in Andhra Pradesh were found to be malfunctioning. AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrote to Chief Electoral Officer saying 30 percent of the EVMs were not functioning till 10 am, as per the reports obtained by him. He has demanded re-polling in the polling stations, where EVMs did not function. He alleged that in some polling stations, voting for TDP is being recorded as voting for YSRC.
