Gujarat reported 460 new coronavirus cases on Friday, increasing its COVID-19 tally to 2,69,031, the state health department said. No COVID-19 fatality was reported in the state during the day, it added. The COVID-19 death toll in Gujarat stands at 4,408, the health department said in its release. The state has in all recorded 2,136, active cases of which 38 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 315 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 2,62,487, the department said in a release here. According to the state health department, So far a total of 8,20,700 persons have been vaccinated with the first dose and 1,65,538 persons with the second dose. There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far.The state's recovery rate stood at 97.57 percent, it said.
