The government, during its routine briefing on Covid-19, said that 9,000 people linked to the Tablighi Jamaat event of Nizamuddin area in Delhi have been quarantined. Out of 9,00, around 1,300 foreigns have also been identified. Contact tracing of Tablighi Jamat is being done and around 400 have tested positive in different states, the government said. The home ministry also said that out of about 2,000 Tablighi Jamaat members in Delhi, 1,804 have been quarantined and 334 have been admitted to hospitals.
