The Commonwealth Games 2030 will be held in India, preferably in October. Commonwealth Sport on Wednesday confirmed Ahmedabad as host city for the centenary edition of the Games five years from now.
The decision paves the way for the multi-sport event’s return to India after two decades and is expected to boost India’s hopes of hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2036. The formal announcement was made during Commonwealth Sport’s general assembly meet in Glasgow, attended by delegates from 74 Commonwealth member nations & territories.
