Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced that a statue of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be installed in the state. The Chief Minister also said that Jaitley's birth anniversary will be celebrated as a state function every year. Jaitley passed away after prolonged illness on August 24.

In his condolence message, Nitish Kumar had said, "Arun Jaitley Ji was an extraordinarily brilliant person. He skillfully and successfully shouldered the responsibilities of different ministries in the government of India. He was also an outstanding legal luminary."
