Expired food items were seized and notices were issued to 23 paying guest accommodations in Bengaluru after the Food Safety and Drug Administration department carried out a special inspection drive across the city on Friday, officials said.
A total of 64 PGs were inspected during the drive, which was conducted on the directions of Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader, amid widespread complaints about poor-quality food and unhygienic conditions.
