Supreme Court on Tuesday gave Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav a final opportunity to deposit at least Rs 2 crore with the Supreme Court Registry within two weeks in connection with a cheque bounce case involving a private complainant.
“Looking at his past conduct.. how can anybody trust him? He’s perfect in doing drama and acting in Bollywood, he’s doing same thing in Court also”, the CJI said. The court also extended the protection granted to Rajpal from arrest until the next hearing on October 5. However, it directed the actor to surrender his passport.
