Phase 2/3 clinical trials for Sputnik V, the first registered COVID-19 vaccine from Russia commenced in India today. Russian Direct Investment Fund and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories initiated the clinical trials of the vaccine, the Indian pharma company said. Last month, Russia had said Sputnik V vaccine is 92% effective at protecting people from COVID-19 according to the first interim analysis.
