Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank, M&M and Grasim Industries were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Zee Entertainment, NTPC, Coal India, ONGC and UPL. Among sectors, auto, energy and infra ended lower, while buying witnessed in the pharma, IT, metal and FMCG. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.4 percent and 0.7 percent respectively.
