Yes Bank, Coal India, GAIL, ONGC and Hero MotoCorp were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Titan Company, Nestle, TCS, Tata Steel and Vedanta. Among sectors, PSU Bank shed 3 percent, while metal, pharma, infra and energy fell 1 percent each. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices also declined 1 percent each.
