Consumers have been hit by a price hike just ahead of the festive season, with commercial LPG cylinder rates increasing from today (October 1). The price of 19-kg commercial cylinders has risen by more than Rs 60 in several cities, potentially increasing operating costs for hotels, restaurants, roadside eateries and other businesses that rely heavily on commercial gas. However, there has been no change in the prices of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders.
After the hike on October 1, here's what commercial LPG cylinders cost in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and other cities, as per an NDTV report:
Delhi: Price increased by Rs 62.50 to Rs 2,810
Mumbai: Price increased by Rs 63 from Rs 2,701 to Rs 2,764
Chennai: Price increased by Rs 66.50 from Rs 2,916.50 to Rs 2,983
