The government has amended the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order to prohibit domestic LPG connections and refills for households that already have a Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connection.
Under the revised order, households with a PNG connection will not be allowed to retain a domestic LPG connection or obtain LPG cylinder refills from government oil marketing companies or their authorised distributors. Consumers in this category will be required to surrender their existing LPG connections.
