Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Thursday heard a case on Delhi pollution caused by farm fires and asked counsel whether it is possible to ban it.
"Do you think we should ban everything to solve this problem? Should we stop everything?" the CJI asked, turning down a plea for an urgent hearing on Delhi pollution.
"We should deal with cases which we can take on the judicial side. The courts can't enter into everything. We are not going to hear it sooner. Let it come in due course," he added.
