Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) chief Dr Balram Bhargava said on Thursday that deaths have reduced considerably due to COVID-19 vaccinations. "In this third surge of COVID-19, we are currently not witnessing severe illness and deaths due to high vaccination uptake," Dr Bhargava said. Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan added that the Health Ministry will be expanding vaccination coverage.
