A potentially catastrophic train accident was narrowly averted in Bokaro, Jharkhand when a tractor collided with a railway gate near Bhojudih station while the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express was passing through the area. The incident took place at the Santhaldih railway crossing on Tuesday evening, causing the tractor to become wedged between the railway track and the gate.
An official stated that the incident occurred around 5 pm and resulted in a delay of approximately 45 minutes for the train. Immediate action was taken, and the tractor was confiscated. An FIR was filed at the relevant police station, and the gatekeeper was suspended pending further investigation. The driver of the tractor managed to flee the scene of the accident.
