Aditya Dhar’s movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge is in trouble after the makers were served a legal notice for hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community. A poster released showed Ranveer Singh’s Sikh character smoking a cigarette.
The legal notice said that showing a Sikh character smoking is against the principles and traditions of Sikhism. It explained that tobacco usage is strictly banned in the Sikh religion and is seen as a disrespectful act to the faith. The complainants demanded that the makers edit those scenes and promotional material that hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.
