Diljit Dosanjh starrer Satluj, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, has been taken down from Zee5 two days after premiering on the OTT platform. ZEE5 revealed that, owing to ‘current developments’, the film directed by Honey Trehan would no longer be available for streaming in India until further notice. 

Diljit has shared his first post after the announcement, reacting to the film’s ban in India.

In his Instagram post, Diljit wrote that Satluj had ‘met the same fate’ as Jaswant Singh Khalra, the human rights activist whose story inspired the film. “#ichallengethedarkness Shaheed Jaswant Singh Khalra Ji #Panjab95 SATLUJ Naal V Oh Hee Hoyea Jo (Panjab95 SATLUJ has met the same fate as he did)," he wrote, while sharing a clip from the movie.
