The IMD on Wednesday said Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Ranipet districts of Tamil Nadu could receive extremely heavy rainfall on Thursday, November 18. Separately, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi could get heavy to very heavy rainfall and 15 other districts could get heavy rainfall. Fishermen were advised not to venture into the sea. This alert came days after rains inundated Tamil Nadu.
