A couple and their three children were found dead at their home in Bagodara village in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad district on Sunday, in what the police said prima facie looked like a case of mass suicide.
The Bagodara police identified the deceased as Vipul Vaghela, 34, his wife Sonal, 26, and their children Kareena, 11, Mayur, 8, and Princy, 5. The Vaghelas lived near the Bagodara bus stand and the incident happened before 1.30 am on Sunday, according to the police.
Police Sub-inspector P N Gohil, who is investigating the case, said, “Prima facie, it is a case of suicide. Their postmortems are being done. A case of accidental death has been registered, and we are investigating the reason behind the incident.”
