A fresh FIR was registered on Friday against Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee over a political speech delivered in March 2026.
The complaint, filed by a Kolkata resident at Hare Street Police Station, cited her public remarks warning that if a particular community united, it could have serious consequences for others. Kolkata Police subsequently converted the complaint into an FIR.
