Aadhaar Update Rules To Change From December 1

A new Aadhaar-related rule has also been implemented from December 1st. Under this new rule, you will be able to enter information such as name, address, date of birth, and mobile number in your Aadhaar card online. Data verification can be done using a PAN card, passport, or other relevant government records.

Effective December 1st, the EPFO has implemented several new changes. These include changes to the rules for UAN-KYC linking, e-nomination, and monthly pension updates.

Pensioners Must Submit Life Certificate Before Deadline

Pensioners must also note the deadline for submitting their annual life certificate. Retired government employees are required to provide this certificate by November 30 to ensure their pension continues without interruption. If the certificate is not submitted and no extension is granted, pension payments could be halted.

Tax Compliance Requirements Due By Month-End

Tax-related deadlines also fall on November 30. Several direct-tax compliance requirements, including the submission of TDS details deducted in October, are due on this date. These obligations come under Sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194-M and 194-S. Taxpayers are advised to file the relevant documents promptly to avoid penalties.

UPS-NPS Switch Deadline Ends On November 30

Government employees face an important deadline as well. The last date for choosing between the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) and the National Pension System (NPS) is November 30, after the deadline was previously extended from September 30. Employees who wish to make the switch must complete the process in time.

LPG Prices, ATF Fuel Prices Revision From December 1

Oil marketing companies (OMCs), on the first of each month, revise prices of LPG gas cylinders, air turbine fuel (ATF). These revisions are based on the average price of international fuel and foreign exchange rate.

Banks Holidays List For December 2025

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, there are 17 bank holidays in December. The bank holidays include normal bank holidays such as the second Saturday, Sundays and fourth Saturday weekly offs.
