The death count in Greater Noida lift accident rose to eight after four more workers succumed to their injuries in hospital on Saturday. A service lift had a free fall from the fourteenth floor at Amrapali Dream Valley Society under-construction building in Greater Noida West claiming four lives on Friday.

Gautam Buddha Nagar DM Manish Kumar Verma on Saturday announced that the family members of the deceased will get a compensation of Rs 25 lakh. While compensation of Rs 20 lakh will be given by NBCC and Rs 5 lakh will be received from the court.
