Gujarat's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 8,18,895 on Thursday with 544 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 11 more patients, the fatalities increased to 9,976, it said. The state has in all recorded 12,711 active cases of which 316 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 1505 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 7,96,208, the department said in a release here. 
The state's recovery rate stood at 97.23 percent, it said.
