The number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered in the Gujarat crossed the five-lakh mark on Friday. The   State's tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 6,58,036 with 12,064 more persons testing positive for the infection, the state health department said. With the death of 119 more patients, the fatalities increased to 8,154, it said. The state has in all recorded 1,46,385 active cases of which 775 are on ventilator support. At the same time, 13,085 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovered cases in the state to 5,03,497, the department said in a release here. According to the state health department, 1,02,24,941 persons have been given the first dose of vaccine and 29,89,975 persons have been given the second dose of vaccine. A total of 1,32,14,916 persons have been vaccinated so far.  There has been no case of adverse reaction or side-effects of Covid-19 vaccine in the State so far. The state's recovery rate stood at 76.52 percent, it said.
