The Indian Women’s Hockey team secured their berth in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as the unit led by Rani Rampal defeated USA 6-5 on the aggregate scoreline at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. This is only the third time they have qualified for the Olympics - with the previous two coming in 1980 and 2016. The Tokyo 2020 hockey tournaments will be staged in Japan's capital from 25 July to 7 August next year.
