Talking about outgoing Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, PM Narendra Modi said he thought the COVID-19 lockdown would be a "big punishment" for Naidu. "It was very difficult for him (Naidu) to sit still...but he made use of time," said PM Modi. Naidu called nearly every party worker during the lockdown, asked about their well-being and provided help if needed, PM said.
