The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday came down heavily on Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, alleging he had used “objectionable” language for President Droupadi Murmu and former President Ram Nath Kovind. The party has sought a public apology from both Kharge and the Congress for his remarks.
In a video of Kharge's speech, shared by the BJP, he is heard mispronouncing the names of President Murmu as "Murma ji" and her predecessor Kovind as "Covid".
