The Sindhi Entrepreneur is a group started by entrepreneur JyotiMulchandani, founder of the blog Sindhi Khazana; Nikita Dudani - a psychologist, spiritualhealer & coach and home chef Riya Mulchandani with the support of writer Anil Mulchandani.
It is a non-profit initiative to support women entrepreneurs of all communities throughnetworking events, flea markets, exhibitions, festivals, workshops, knowledge sharing, learningsessions and more. “I have met women entrepreneurs who lack communication skills like publicspeaking, pitching to clients, negotiation skills, email & phone etiquette, branding and evenwearing industry appropriate clothing. We propose to organise workshops, seminars, talks andpeer sharing sessions to address skill gaps from basic digital literacy and tech tools to financeand compliances,” said Anil Mulchandani.
Co-founder Riya Mulchandani added, “Many new women entrepreneurs struggle due to limitedprofessional skills such as communication, public speaking and presentation abilities. We feltthere is a need for an organisation that can help bridge these gaps without the high fees or rigidstructures often associated with the large professional networking platforms.
”SHE will continue to focus on conducting activities and providing those platforms that will helpmembers upgrade themselves personally and professionally. Nikita Dudani, the co-founder,said, “This is a step to give back to the community all the support and opportunities that I havereceived over the years. I want other women entrepreneurs to know that they have a communitywhere they can express what support they need — and we, as a team, will strive to provide that.SHE is for everyone — from beginners to seasoned entrepreneurs — a safe, encouraging andempowering space to grow together.”
The launch event on Thursday, November 6, was attended by 60 women entrepreneurs. Theywere from diverse professions and sectors like food, fashion, wellness, services, retail,wholesale, handicraft, digital marketing, logistics, event management, the arts, socialdevelopment, etc. Co-founder Jyoti Mulchandani said, “I was delighted by the calibre ofattendees and the breadth of enterprises represented at the launch.”
The event was held at The Grand Bhagwati and Jay Somani, its executive director, was thechief guest while food blogger Pooja Sangani was the guest of honour.
