Patients of Mucormycosis, a deadly fungal infection being seen in some coronavirus patients, will be treated for free in Maharashtra, state Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Monday. Mucormycosis patients will be covered under the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, which covers 1,000 hospitals, because the medicines required to combat the fungal infection are expensive, Tope said.
