The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Mumbai as extremely heavy rainfall is expected to batter the national capital on Tuesday (May 27). The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall over the west coast (Kerala, Karnataka, coastal Maharashtra, and Goa) till June 1.
