The commission inquiring into the 2002 post-Godhra riots in Gujarat has given a clean chit to Narendra Modi — the state’s chief minister at the time — and his ministers and government officials. In the riots, 1,025 people were killed across the state.
Five years after the Justice G T Nanavati and Justice Akshay Mehta commission submitted the second part of its report, it was tabled in the state assembly on Wednesday.
