The murderous attack on SAIL chairman Anil K Chaudhary near Hauz Khas in south Delhi on August 8 was not a case of road rage but an attempted contract killing orchestrated by a former vendor who used to supply bitumen to the public sector giant, police said.
The crime branch has arrested the vendor, Ashok Kumar Singh, and his associate, Sunil Ballara, who had aided him in hiring the men who had tried to ram their car into the SAIL chairman’s vehicle and then attacked him with iron rods and knives.
