National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Saturday received the Lokmanya Tilak National Award in Pune in recognition of his contribution to strengthening India's national security.
Union home minister Amit Shah presented the award at a ceremony held on the 106th death anniversary of freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
"I am thankful for the award named after Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and accept it with humility," Doval said after receiving the award.
