Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Sunday appealed to the residents of the state to act responsibly. "Only night curfew will be enforced in four cities of Gujarat from tomorrow. Night curfew will be strictly enforced in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot," Rupani said. The curfew, which will be imposed between 9 pm and 6 am, will continue until further notice. Starting tomorrow, the Gujarat government will impose a fine of Rs. 1,000 if a person is caught without wearing a mask in a public space. The fine was initially set at Rs. 500.The order accompanies the night curfew, which will be imposed in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, and Vadodara, which will begin on Monday. The simultaneous orders come in the wake of increasing COVID-19 cases post the festive season.
