The Lok Sabha Elections 2019 to choose the 17th Lok Sabha is being conducted across India in seven phases. Nearly 59.87% voters have casts their votes in the fourth phase of elections. Polling begans in the morning at 7 am in 72 parliamentary constituencies across 9 states of India.
Voting is being held in 17 seats in Maharashtra including Mumbai, 13 each in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, eight in West Bengal, six each in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, five in Bihar, and three in Jharkhand. Voting is also being held in a part of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag constituency, where polling is being organised over three phases due to security reasons. Coinciding with today's Lok Sabha elections of phase four are assembly elections in Odisha. This is the last phase of assembly polls in Odisha.
The poll percentage in Bihar was 53.67%, 9.79% in Jammu and Kashmir, 63.76% in Jharkhand, 65.86% in Madhya Pradesh, 51.28 in Maharashtra, 64.05% in Odisha, 63.01% in Rajasthan, 53.12% in Uttar Pradesh, and 76.63% in West Bengal.
Counting of votes for all 543 parliamentary constituencies across the country will be held on May 23, and the result will be declared the same day.
