Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Chenab railway bridge, the tallest railway bridge in the world. This engineering marvel is a central component of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, which now provides seamless rail connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of India.
PM Modi also inaugurated India’s first cable-stayed railway bridge at Anji and later flagged off two Vande Bharat Express trains running between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Srinagar.
