Bangladesh has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of its new Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, whose party secured a sweeping victory in the first national election held after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.
Rahman, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader and son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, is set to be sworn in as Prime Minister on February 17.
