The Delhi High Court on Monday ruled that Delhi University is not obliged to disclose details of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's graduation degree, setting aside the Central Information Commissioner’s order directing its release.
In 2016, the Central Information Commission (CIC) allowed inspection of records of all students who cleared the BA exam in 1978, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also said to have cleared the examination. The Delhi University challenged the CIC order, which was stayed on the first date of hearing on January in 2017.
