In 2022, a security breach happened during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Punjab. Today, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ordered the initiation of "disciplinary proceedings for major penalty" against former DGP S. Chattopadhyaya and two other police officers. On January 5, 2022, PM Modi’s security was breached when he was traveling to Hussainiwala in Punjab, as his convoy was stuck on a flyover for around 15-20 minutes due to a blockade by protesters in Ferozepur.
