The parole of S Nalini Sriharan, one of the convicts in the assassination of late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, came to an end on Sunday. This comes after the Madras High Court rejected her plea seeking an extension of her leave.
A bench comprising Justice MM Sundresh and Justice RMT Teekaa Raman stated that it had already granted Nalini ordinary leave for a month and later extended it by another three weeks.
The convict had earlier sought an extension of parole till October 15 for making arrangements for her daughter's wedding.
