A general manager of the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) Guwahati branch allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at a hotel in Odisha's Jajpur, the police said. The dead man has been identified as Asish Ranjan Samal, a resident of Naraharipur village in Jajpur district. His body was later sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. The exact reason behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained but it is suspected that the banker killed himself over family dispute.
