As of 9:21 am, the Sensex was down 2,344.63 points, or 2.97 per cent, at 76,574.27, after opening lower at 77,056.75. The index hit an intraday low of 76,573.01, indicating persistent selling pressure within minutes of the opening bell. Sensex plunging more than 2,300 points and the Nifty 50 slipping below the 23,800 mark.
