A police team and forest guards were allegedly attacked by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) workers in Sirpur Kagaznagar block of Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, during a tree plantation drive.
A video of the incident shows a huge mob of locals, armed with sticks, repeatedly attacking vehicles as the officer, identified as Anitha, stood atop a tractor and attempted to pacify the mob. A case has been registered against 16 persons including TRS leader Krishna under sections 353, 332, 307, 147, 148, 149, 427, and 507 of the Indian Penal Code.
